We’re pleased to announce that we’ve launched a new version of our much loved temporary car insurance – with valuable benefits included as standard. Known as Zixty Plus it’s designed to provide an even more inclusive product.
The same great product
Zixty Plus takes the existing Zixty policy and includes more as standard. You still get fast and flexible cover from an hour to 28 days, and can be on the road in less than 10 minutes. There are no curfews or driving restrictions in terms of the time of day. Support is provided by our UK based team, and there’s no waiting in hold queues to talk to someone. What we’ve done is included additional benefits, which saves you money and offers a little more peace of mind.
Excess Protect
Zixty Plus includes £100 of Excess Protect as standard, so in the event that you’re involved in a fault claim while insured on a Zixty Plus policy, £100 of your Excess is protected as standard. You also have the option to increase this to £250 for a small extra sum.
Breakdown cover
Every Zixty Plus policy includes Nationwide breakdown cover, giving access to 3,500 vehicle technicians 24×7 to help fix your vehicle at the roadside. If this is not possible then local recovery will get you to a local garage. If you want more reassurance, then you can upgrade to our highest level of breakdown cover, which includes Nationwide recovery, At Home, and onward travel.
Policy carbon offset
Every Zixty Plus policy is carbon offset for free – as standard. Every time you buy a Zixty Plus temporary car insurance policy, you’re playing a small part in slowing climate change.
CO2 offset your miles
With every Zixty Plus policy you have the option to enable Zixty Miles in the app, and we will then carbon offset up to 100 miles of driving every day that you’re a Zixty customer. This is based on “median” driving efficiency, and so if you drive more efficiently than this, your driving can be carbon negative.
What about vans?
We wouldn’t want our van drivers to miss out, so Zixty Plus is also available on our temporary van insurance product too.

With this new product launch, we’ve kept the existing Zixty policy exactly the same. Every Zixty policy offers:

- Zixty Miles to offset your miles
How do I get a Zixty Plus policy?
Just run a quote in the app or on the website, and once you’ve got a quote, we’ll give you the option to benefit from a Zixty Plus policy. Don’t forget – we’re always cheapest in the app.
